Matthew C. Levy is a New York-based film editor specializing in documentary, scripted, and commercial projects. His work is currently available for streaming on Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, and The Criterion Channel, among other platforms.

Matthew recently worked as an editor on Paramount+’s Ctrl + Alt + Desire, a three-part documentary mini-series offering intimate access to convicted killer Grant Amato. The series unravels a gripping story of obsession, loneliness, and family turmoil.

Prior to that, he worked as an editor on Hulu’s Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence, a three-part documentary mini-series told by former college students who fell under the influence of cult leader Larry Ray.

An interest in advertising led Matthew to edit the trailer for Academy Award nominated Hale County This Morning, This Evening as well as the opening credit sequence for Stolen Youth, created in collaboration with Visual Creatures.

Previously, Matthew edited the Sundance award-winning short film Wiggle Room, which was acquired and distributed by Searchlight Pictures, and served as the additional editor on Netflix’s The Outsider, an action thriller film set in Japan starring Jared Leto.
